Go back to Tell your story GEO-HACKATHON AGREEMENT

The Geo-Hackathon is governed by this Geo-Hackathon Participation Agreement (“Agreement”).
The University of Ibadan is benefiting from Esri’s 100 African Universities Program and Software Grant. Esri is the world's leading smart mapping technology Organizers and honored to be on Forbes' top ten lists of America's Best IT Employers.
The University of Ibadan in partnership with GIS Konsult Ltd is promoting the use of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology for research, innovation and sustainable development. The goal is to bridge the gap between the academic walls and the needs of the society for sustainable development. It is on this premise that we present the Geo-Hackathon Series.
The Geohackathon Series includes the Geohackathon SDG Competition, Tell you Story Competition, Management Sessions, Training Workshops, Boot Camps and Incubation and Mentoring Sessions.
By entering the Geo-Hackathon, you (“Participant”) agree to abide by the Agreement which is a binding legal agreement between the Participant and the University of Ibadan and GIS Konsult Ltd (“Organizers”) of the Geo-Hackathon.
The GEO-HACKATHON is coined from three words: GEO represents the earth and Hack represents a series of events geared to solve earth/environmental problems and ATHON is from marathon which is a long-distance running race. This is an innovative technology roadmap to encourage the development of solutions required in all disciplines. The roadmap will feature the convening of students, researchers, programmers, professionals and SDG stakeholders to brainstorm and collaboratively create solutions and ideas for sustainable development.
